European History of Neuroscience Online Projects - Call open
This initiative aims at creating a virtual platform making available to the wide public autobiographies, videos, pictures and other electronic materials about illustrious neuroscientists of Europe and their distinguished work.
The call for History Online Projects is open
Deadline: 17 October 2016
Since 2010, The FENS History Committee organises a yearly call for European History of Neuroscience Projects, that aim at documenting the history and development of neuroscience in Europe, by collecting autobiographies, videos, pictures and other electronic materials about illustrious neuroscientists of Europe and their distinguished work. The best projects are selected and funded to help with their completion.
Since 2014, the History Project grants particularly support projects in which historic material such as films, photos, images or histological slides are presented on the web. FENS has created an online platform devoted to the awardees where finalised projects are integrated. Projects should be made available through the Internet and be completed within 1-2 years.
Projects will be funded by up to € 1,500. A detailed budget has to be included in the application form.
We warmly congratulate the awardees of the 2015 Call for History of European Neuroscience Projects! Check here to see the granted projects.
