Postdoctoral position in molecular neurobiology at the LMB in Cambridge.

We are seeking a talented and motivated post-doctoral scientist with a PhD in biological sciences or neuroscience to work in the group of Dr. Marco Tripodi.

The work will focus on neural circuits controlling automatic and goal oriented movements in mice (http://www.tripodilab.com/).

The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology, cell biology and mouse genetics and a strong interest to apply these skills in the context of neural development and neural circuit assembly. Experience of gene targeting for generating knock-in/out animals is desirable, previous experience with the analysis of whole genome expression data would be highly regarded.  The candidate will work in collaboration with electrophysiologists within a multidisciplinary research group whose aim is to understand the logic of neural circuit assembly and function in the context of motor control.

The research will be conducted at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK (http://www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk). The institute has a long history of excellence and is affiliated with the University of Cambridge. The new LMB building was recently inaugurated and offers state-of-the-art facilities.

Applications containing a curriculum vitae with complete list of publications and a summary of current work should be addressed to Dr. M. Tripodi (mtripodi@mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk).
