Brain Awareness Week (BAW) - 1000 Euro funding available

The Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is the global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research; it is a worldwide celebration of the brain that grows more successful every year. It is an opportunity to let people know about the progress that are being done in brain research as well as progress in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the brain, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke, schizophrenia and depression.

Brain Awareness Week 2014: March 10-16

Funding available

The Dana Foundation is offering financial support of up to 1,000 EUR to those who organise a brain awareness event during this period in March since many years.

In 2014, as already in the past, The Dana Foundation has asked FENS to administer this support reserved for European organisations contributing to the Brain Awareness Week (BAW).
FENS hereby kindly invites applications for this support.

  • Download the application form for a BAW grant
  • Application deadline: January 13, 2014
  • As a new initiative, a few awardees will be invited to prepare a poster based on their awarded BAW grant for the FENS Forum 2014. The selected posters will then be featured throughout the FENS Forum in Milan. Please submit your application by email to the FENS Office at mihaela.vincze@fens.org and indicate Brain Awareness Week in the subject line.
  • Check here the FENS/The Dana Foundation BAW awardees of previous years alongside with a summary of their granted projects.
