Cambridge Neuroscience Methods Workshop

Cambridge Neuroscience Methods Workshop

Friday 20th March, 9.00 am - 13.00 pm

Max Perutz Lecture Theatre, Laboratory of Molecular Biology

In addition to the main Cambridge Neuroscience Seminar meeting on Thursday 19th March, there will be a satellite methods workshop the next morning. This will address the general issues of imaging, controlling and analysing brain activity. Approaches will range from the molecular and cellular level to neuroimaging and psychophysics techniques that illuminate brain function.

This workshop is free to attend but requires registration. To register, and for more information, please follow this link to the CNS 2009 registration page, and be sure to tick the box for the satellite meeting.

Professor Jeff Magee (Janelia Farm, USA) and Professor Karl Deisseroth (Stanford University, USA) will discuss techniques including optical control of transmission at individual synapses and exciting whole neurons.

If you are interested in presenting a 15 min research talk at this workshop (each talk includes a six minute discussion session) please you email your prospective title and abstract (less than 300 words) to: cnseminars2009@googlemail.com, by the 1st February.
