An advanced course for PhD students, Post Docs and Group Leaders


The John Van Geest Centre for Brain Repair - Department of Clinical Neurosciences is holding their annual Spring School on the theme of

 

"The Spreading Pathology of

 

Neurodegenerative disorders"

 

Wednesday 9 – Friday 11 April 2014

Cripps Court, Magdalene College, Cambridge, CB4 3AD, UK


The Spring School 2014 is organised by Professor Roger Barker and Professor Maria Spillantini. Internationally renowned experts will present talks on the pathogenesis of these disorders, where they begin and mechanisms to do with protein spread and how this opens up new therapeutic opportunities.

The meeting promises to be a very exciting 3 days, with a number of excellent national and international speakers. It will also provide a great opportunity for exchanging ideas with renowned neuroscientists in a social setting.

 

A poster session will also take place and is open to all participants for the display of their original work. We encourage you to make a contribution to this session. To participate in the poster session please complete the application form and return to the admin team, details below. The Steering Group will select some of the abstracts submitted and invite the lead author to give a fifteen-minute presentation.

 

The cost of registration fees remain excellent value for money:

 

£225 for Residential delegates. The fee covers standard accommodation for Wednesday 9 & Thursday 10 April; attendance at all daily sessions; mid morning and mid afternoon refreshments; Wednesday & Thursday lunches and the Conference Dinner to be held on Wednesday 9 April in the Magdalene’s 16th century College Hall. 

 

£90 for Non Residential delegates including Conference Dinner. The fee covers attendance at all daily sessions; mid-morning and mid-afternoon refreshments; Wednesday & Thursday lunches and the Conference Dinner to be held on Wednesday 9 April in the Magdalene’s 16th century College Hall.

 

£75 for Non Residential delegates excluding Conference Dinner.  The fee covers attendance at all daily sessions, mid-morning and mid-afternoon refreshments, and Wednesday & Thursday lunches.
