Henderson Scholarships for Summer Vacation Work launched

The WR Henderson Scholarship is a new initiative which will be awarded annually and aims to allow motivated students to gain experience and opportunities that will promote their future research careers in brain sciences (including the nervous system). It will be awarded to undergraduate students (including those in their final year of study) to allow them to pursue laboratory research within the School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Edinburgh, over the summer vacation.

Distance learning Course on Neuroimaging is now accepting applications for 2012 entry

For those who use Neuroimaging in their research or who use it clinically, The University of Edinburgh is offering a masters level programme, delivered entirely online. Our students develop an understanding of cutting edge Neuroimaging applications in research and clinical contexts, while obtaining an advanced qualification from a world class university. The programme is offered part-time and online in a flexible modular format suited to working professionals, including the full Masters as well as stand-alone CPD / CME Neuroimaging “Bitesized” packages. It is accredited by Royal College of Radiologists, UK for their Continued Professional Development Credits (CPD).

Distance Learning Course on Cognitive Ageing Research Methods for Medical Scientists is recruiting

This one-year online distance learning Certificate run by the University of Edinburgh Centre for Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology is designed for fully registered medical practitioners in higher specialist training, or for those with a cognate-related undergraduate degree looking to further their qualifications in the field of cognitive ageing research. The Certificate also aims to provide medical scientists with a strong training environment for those wishing.  Applications are now open for 2012/13.
