Department of Computer Science and Technology Healthcare Research Showcase, Friday 29 January 2021

Healthcare is one of the key application areas for our research, whether it's developing mobile and wearable health monitors, or advancing the use of machine learning to improve the diagnosis of cancers.

If you'd like to hear more about this work from some of the early-career researchers involved, then please save the date of Friday 29 January 2021 when we are planning a Healthcare Research Showcase. The event, lasting under two hours, will feature lightning talks on topics including:
  • How recordings of people coughing and breathing are being used to train computer models to recognise the sounds of COVID-19
  • Predicting outcomes for psychotic disorders, using brain connectivity and transcribed speech data
  • Designing a Robot Mindfulness Coach
  • Cancer AI - including developing AI techniques to integrate multi-modal cancer data to achieve better diagnosis and treatment for patients.

If you are interested in attending, please register here.
