ETECH Programme Open for Projects - Deadline 20 December 2016

The Entrepreneurship Centre at Cambridge Judge Business School is running the next ETECH Projects (Emerging Technologies) in January 2017 and we are looking for early stage and potentially disruptive technologies from researchers in the Cambridge area.

Our students – who are 3rd year undergraduates in Biological Sciences, Physics and Chemical Engineering – work in small teams to produce a commercial feasibility report on an early stage technology and present the findings to the inventors. Supervision and support is provided to the students, which covers topics such as opportunity evaluation, developing business concepts and making presentations.

Inventors taking part in ETECH Projects gain better understanding of commercial potential of their invention/science based idea including applications, market size, and routes to market.

“ETECH projects presented an opportunity to gain fresh perspectives and insights into our technology that we missed or overlooked. The students gave us some interesting ideas which may find commercial exploitation in the near future.”

Dr Paolo Bombelli, Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge
