Internal Call for MRC funded project up to £3m on 'Intellectual Disabilities'

Restricted Call (Internal University of Cambridge only): MRC/MRF Intellectual Disabilities Call (One £3m award available)

The MRC have announced a joint call with the Medical Research Foundation (MRC's independently managed charity) for proposals to study 'Intellectual disabilities: Risk factors affecting the trajectory of development and their impact on mental health outcomes and behaviour'.

One research project with an award value of up to £3m will be funded, thus this call will be coordinated according to the University's Procedure for Restricted Calls:  

Expression of Interest: If you are interested in leading or contributing to an application to this call, please send an 'Expression of Interest' email stating your name, department, and a short summary on what you're proposing to do or how you can contribute (maximum 2 paragraphs) to by Thursday 25th April 2013. This will enable us to identify the likely number of proposals and whether an internal selection is needed, as well as any synergies / overlaps between potential proposals.  

Internal Selection: Following this, please submit an Internal Selection Form (see attached) to by Wednesday 8th May 2013 for the Internal Selection, together with a letter from your Head of Department expressing support for the project. Please also send a copy of the form and the support letter to your School office for information. Any applicants who have not submitted an Expression of Interest will not be considered at the Internal Selection stage.
