Women in Science: From bird lady to dancing professor

Cambridge Neuroscientist Professor Nicky Clayton describes, in today's Independent, how she combines two of her passions in life: her scientific interests in evolution and cognition with her love of dance and choreography.

Nicky, pictured right, is Professor of Comparative Cognition in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Cambridge, Scientist in Residence at the Rambert Dance Company and is also working with the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Programme and The Zoological Society of London to encourage more young women to pursue careers in science.
