ESRC Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Centres 2016: Foundations of inclusive growth
ESRC has issued a pre-announcement of a call GCRF Centres competition 2016: Foundations of Inclusive Growth. Under this call, ESRC plans to fund two centres with up to £5M full economic cost (fEC) over five years available for each centre. The call will be announced later this month, with a deadline in September 2016.
Thematically, submissions will be encouraged to focus on the five core areas ESRC has initially identified as its GCRF contribution:
The geographical focus of research in this call will be countries in the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list of ODA recipients. All proposals will have to make a clear case for how they comply with Official Development Assistance (ODA) guidelines.
This is a restricted call and will be managed according to University’s restricted calls procedure. A single institutional proposal will be coordinated, bringing together the relevant expertise across the University.
Applicants should register their interest by emailing researchstrategy@admin.cam.ac.uk by 24th June stating their name, department and including a brief Expression of Interest (no more than 1 paragraph). Applicants should also state which of the above subject areas they wish to contribute to.
