Postdoctoral position in neurobiology at the LMB in Cambridge.

We are seeking a motivated scientist with a PhD in neuroscience, biological sciences, biophysics or engineering to work in the group of Dr. Marco Tripodi.

The work will focus on neural circuits controlling automatic and goal oriented movements in mice (http://www.tripodilab.com/)

The ideal candidate will have expertise in either in-vivo electrophysiology, slice electrophysiology or multiphoton imaging in-vivo and a passion for tinkering with optics and electronics. Experience with programming in Matlab, Python, Lab View and/or other programming environments is desirable.

A collaborative, open minded and friendly attitude is essential as the candidate is expected to work closely with other members of the lab within a multidisciplinary research group whose aim is to understand the logic of motor circuit assembly and function.

The research will be conducted at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK (http://www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk). The institute has a long history of excellence and is affiliated with the University of Cambridge. The new LMB building was recently inaugurated and offers state-of-the-art facilities.

Applications containing a curriculum vitae with complete list of publications and a summary of current work should be addressed to Dr. M. Tripodi (mtripodi@mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk).
