New Dementia Consortium - Launch events on how to apply for funding

The newly launched Dementia Consortium will unite the charity, academic and private sectors in the search for new dementia treatments. The Dementia Consortium brings together the charity Alzheimer’s Research UK with technology transfer experts MRC Technology and two pharmaceutical companies, Eisai and Lilly.

The Dementia Consortium will provide funding, resources and expertise to researchers. Its aim is to increase the number of, and capitalise upon, new drug targets emerging from the academic sector that hold promise of patient benefit.


How to apply for funding

To find out more about how to apply for funding from the Dementia Consortium, academic researchers are invited to two UK launch events. These are in London on 30 January 10.30am – 1.30pm and Leeds on 12 February 2014 12.30 – 3.30pm. You can register now for these events. Full details of the application procedure will be announced at the events, in this newsletter and the Dementia Consortium website.
