British Neuroscience Association - deadlines approaching for nominations

BNA President-Elect: nomination deadline 29th September

The presidency of Professor David Nutt will come to an end in April 2013 when Professor Russell Foster will take the role for a two year term. Professor Nutt will continue to serve for a further two years as immediate past-president.

The BNA would like the assistance of its members in identifying the next BNA President-Elect, who will occupy this position from 2013-2015 whereupon they will take on the presidency of the BNA in 2015. Please submit your nominations, together with a brief justification for your choice to the BNA Office ( by September 29th. Nominations will be reviewed at the next BNA Council and Committee meeting on October 25th.

BNA Postgraduate and Undergraduate awards: Deadline 31st October

The BNA encourage you to submit your nominations for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate 2012 awards to the BNA office ( by 31st October 2012.
The application procedure can be viewed here. The awards will be presented at the BNA Christmas Symposium on 19th December.

The BNA are actively encouraging new neuroscience students to join the BNA, the ‘Voice of British Neuroscience today’ to benefit from access to online journals, gain membership of FENS, access job vacancies, seek career advice and gain FREE and reduced registration to forthcoming BNA events such as the BNA Christmas Symposium and the BNA2013:Festival of Neuroscience.
