Cambridge Neuroscience FREE ALLEN BRAIN ATLAS training workshop

What: FREE interactive training workshop using the ALLEN BRAIN ATLAS
When: Wednesday, 4th July 2012
Where: Lecture Theatre, Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge, Tennis Court Road, CB2 1PD
Registration details: Participation is FREE, limited to Cambridge Neuroscience members and registration is required.
Extra Information: For a hands-on experience, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop with Internet/Wi-Fi connectivity so that they can follow along.

Cambridge Neuroscience is pleased to host a FREE interactive training workshop using the ALLEN BRAIN ATLAS.

Join us for a training workshop demonstrating the online public resources for exploring gene expression in the nervous system. Basic data access, navigation and usability will be covered, as well as more sophisticated search and visualisation features.

This workshop will touch on the full spectrum of resources available via the Allen Brain Atlas data portal (www.brain-map.org), but will focus primarily on resources and features updated in the previous data release, particularly the following data sets:
> Adult human brain
> Adult mouse brain

For a hands-on experience, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop with Internet/Wi-Fi connectivity so that they can follow along.


Participation is free but Advance registration is required. Places are limited.
