Congratulations to Dr Armin Lak on Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship
Dr Armin Lak has just been awarded the Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship. The Fellowship is awarded to the most promising newly qualified postdoctoral researchers, allowing them to develop an independent career path while working in top labs across the globe.
Armin finished his PhD in the Prof Wolfram Schultz Laboratory in the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience and has been a research associate in the same laboratory since then.
Over the next four years, Armin will use the fellowship to work at University College London and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory collaborating with several principle investigators while benefiting from the mentorship of Prof. Schultz. Throughout the fellowship, Armin will combine electrophysiological, optogenetic and behavioural tools to investigate fronto-basal ganglia interactions underlying decision making.
The Fellowship is for four years and provides an award of £250,000.
