Dementia - A National Symposium, 30-31 May 2013

You are cordially invited to this Symposium on Dementia at the Open University in Milton Keynes (30-31 May), at which leading UK clinical and non-clinical scientists will be presenting their work. The event, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Research UK, offers opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking and continuous professional development, and aims to raise further awareness and understanding of dementia. The programme brings together key researchers from across the UK who are working in the field of dementia, highlights the range of research perspectives that are contributing to the understanding of dementia, and provides a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas within and across disciplines. It will showcase how UK-led research and investigators are contributing towards this endeavour on an

international arena. We are delighted to have such a distinguished line-up of speakers at the event. Baroness Susan Greenfield CBE, will also be joining us on the evening of 30 May to speak on ‘the challenges and impact of dementia research’ at the symposium dinner. The programme and flyer are enclosed for information.

Registration is FREE for all scientific sessions, but places are limited and are being allocated promptly, so please do book your place by completing the online registration form at the earliest opportunity (you can do this by clicking on the tab to the bottom right of the flyer). Registration closes on 17 May (

or earlier if all places have been allocated prior to this date). If you have any queries, please contact dementia2013@open.ac.uk, and one of the administrative team would be happy to help. We would be delighted if you are able to join us, and look forward to welcoming you to the event.
