All welcome to attend the Francis Crick Lecture in Neuroscience 2009 Speaker: John O’Keefe Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London will present a lecture entitled ‘The Development of Spatial Cells of the Hippocampal Formation’. Professor O’Keefe discovered that spatial information is represented in hippocampus pyramidal cell responses and pioneered the cognitive map theory. His fundamental discoveries on the cellular basis of abstract representation in the brain are milestones in cognitive neuroscience.
