Funding: Evelyn Trust - extended deadline for funding proposals
The Evelyn Trust extended the deadline for applications to its 2018/19 Medical Research Grant to Monday December 10th.
The Trust is looking to support medical research projects that have clear clinical impact, that can deliver transformational change, or that can increase inter-disciplinary working. The Trust prefers to provide grants that are significant in the context of the project, that are ‘one-off’ for that particular project, and one of the Trust’s primary goals is to develop young or newly-established researchers and help them to generate data for more substantial bids to larger grant-giving bodies. Grants range from £10,000-£250,000.
Importantly, the Trust has changed its policy on use of animals, and now considers applications that involve live animals provided that the protocols and approach used adhere to the principles set out by the University of Cambridge on their website or to an equivalent recognised basis.
Grant application forms are available online (here) and these should be submitted by email or by post together with the letter from the relevant Department head, to: The Charity Director at firstname.lastname@example.org. Successful applicants will be contacted towards the end of January, and invited to submitted a second stage application.
