Restricted Call: 2015 Sir Jules Thorn Award for Biomedical Research
 
Applications are now open for the 2015 Sir Jules Thorn Award for Biomedical Research. This annual competition offers a grant of up to £1.5 million for a programme of the highest quality translational research extending for up to 5 years, led by investigators of outstanding quality in the early years of an established research and academic career.
 
Examples of the type of research funded under this programme may be found in the Previous Awards section of the Trust website www.julesthorntrust.org.uk. The Guidance Notes available for download from the Useful Documents section (Sir Jules Thorn Award for Biomedical Research) of the Trust website provide further information on the call requirements. Please note that the award may not be used for Cancer or HIV / AIDS related research.
 
Only one application per institution is permitted and this call will be coordinated according to the Restricted Calls Procedure: http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/offices/rso/restricted/procedure/
 
Internal Selection: Please send the attached Internal Selection Form and the letter from the Head of Department confirming support for the project and that Department is happy to host it to researchstrategy@admin.cam.ac.uk by 25th July 2014 17:00.
