Neuroscience Lectureship available at the Department of Pharmacology - Closing date on Friday!
Applications are invited for two University Lectureships in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge with effect from 1 January 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Department offers excellent facilities for teaching and research and has particular interests in cell signalling, neurobiology, membrane transporters and ion channels. We are particularly interested in making one appointment in the broad field of neuroscience and the other in the cellular and molecular basis of cancer, but we are willing to consider applicants from other areas. Particular areas of interest in neuroscience include genetic and network approaches to obesity, pain and addiction, which are areas of existing strength in the Department and in the University. In cancer, examples of suitable areas include cell cycle control, DNA repair and multidrug resistance.
Appointments will be made at University Lecturer level with a probationary period of five years, with appointment to the retiring age thereafter.
