Oxbridge Roundtable Solutions (ORS) is the consulting arm of Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable (http://oxbridgebiotech.com/), a professional organisation based on student initiative whose goal it is to foster interaction between academia and industry in biotechnology and related fields. ORS provides opportunities for students to gain first hand consulting experience with companies in the biotechnology sector. Students typically work in teams of 4-6 on a set project for 8 weeks, where they perform real consulting work for a biotechnology firm, and gain first hand business experience. Students will learn from a professional mentor and a client contact. The standard work requirement is 8-10 hours a week. The projects are recognised by the Graduate School of Life Sciences and grant its participants 5 transferable skills credits.
We currently have openings for Cambridge students and postdocs from a variety of backgrounds to work on the following project for a company specialising in biotechnological products and services:
Design of an Optimal Sales Strategy for a Biotech Product
Research areas will include: ·
The project will be conducted in Cambridge from 16th April – 10th June 2012
Applicant requirements: You need to be a post-graduate student (PhD, Masters, etc.) or post-doc in one of the following fields in Cambridge: Molecular Biology or related, Medicine, Business & Management, Engineering, Law or any field related to these areas. Applications from recent graduates are also welcome. Previous consulting experience is not a requirement but desirable.
