Brain training at the Science Museum

Computer Game Developer Tom Piercy, Research Associate Dr George Savulich and Sahakian Labs student members Anna Sophia Van Ghesel Grothe and Norah Schulten showed off Professor Barbara Sahakian’s latest cognitive training game at the Science Museum’s Lates event.

The Lates are monthly adults-only events, which invite members of the scientific community to engage with and demonstrate their research to the public.

The team from the University of Cambridge Department of Psychiatry were exhibiting a demonstration version of a new game being developed at Professor Sahakian's Lab to train attention and focus. Visitors to the event got to play three modified versions of the attention/concentration game, each harder than the last.

Feedback from the event was very positive. Visitors enjoyed the game and were interested to learn about the research. From moment the doors opened, until the event ended, the team were busy fielding questions and demoing.
