Restricted call: Mental Health Research UK – PhD Scholarship 2023 (internal deadline: 21 March 2022)

Mental Health Research UK (MHR UK) have announced a new round of competitions for two PhD Scholarships beginning September 2023.

This year, Scholarships are available in the following areas:

1. John Grace QC Scholarship 2023 – Early Intervention in psychosis
2. Mental Health Research UK Scholarship 2023 – Health Inequalities and mental illness

Mental Health Research UK aims to make a significant improvement to the lives of people with mental illness by funding research into causes of and cures for mental illness. The Scholarships aim to support the most promising research scientists who are asking challenging questions that will contribute to advances in mental health research.

University Internal selection:

The University may submit only one application for each Scholarship. Therefore, this call will be managed according to the University’s restricted calls procedure.

To take part in the internal selection process, please submit the following documents to researchstrategy@admin.cam.ac.uk by 21 March 2022:

1. The attached internal selection form.
2. A support letter from the Head of the Department / Centre / Institute of the leading supervisor, confirming the HoD’s support for the project and agreement to host the grant.
