Interests

As a cognitive neuroscientist my principal research interest is understanding the pathological cascade of Alzheimer’s disease in humans primarily with PET biomarkers of amyloid and tau. My research uses techniques that include high-resolution neuroimaging and neuropsychological testing, to provide convergent information within the same individuals.

Along with the main PET biomarkers used in dementia research (amyloid & tau), I'm also interested in understanding the role astrocytes play in the pathological cascade by using novel PET radiotracers that can measure astrocyte function in vivo.
