Interests

My research explores the role of memory control in regulating our emotions. Using behavioural, computational, and neuroimaging methods coupled with memory suppression and Pavlovian conditioning paradigms, my PhD work focuses on investigating whether retrieval suppression is employed to control emotional responding to fear memories. The overarching aim of this research is its potential to foster novel insights into century-old theories of fear extinction, as well as improving extinction-based clinical treatments for anxiety and stress-related disorders such as PTSD.
