Dr Maria Dauvermann

Interests

I have a strong grounding in translational psychiatry and multidisciplinary mental health research. In particular, I focus on the investigation of brain alterations that may underlie suicide, mood and psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and autism spectrum disorders. I integrate large-scale functional brain network markers with stress endocrine, immunological, genetic, cognitive, environmental and clinical factors to better understand the onset and chronicity of these mental health conditions. Furthermore, I am interested in transdiagnostic biomarkers of mood and psychotic disorders and their link with stress exposure and responses, and resilience.
