Interests

My research aims to better define the selective vulnerability of neurons toward the pathological protein in Parkinson's disease model. Neurons exposed to misfolded ?-synuclein can develop pathological protein aggregates, it has recently been shown in literature that only some of the cells are affected by the pathological process, while the others remain otherwise healthy. The aim of my PhD project is therefore to understand the molecular factors driving such differential neuronal susceptibility.
