Interests

My research broadly focuses on understanding the neural bases of speech perception. More specifically, I am investigating: (1) how the brain integrates auditory and visual speech signals during speech comprehension, (2) what are the neural mechanisms of predictive processes underlying human speech perception and (3) the parallels and divergences between human and machine speech recognition. In my work I am using human psycholinguistic and neuroimaging (electro- and magnetoencephalography, EEG/MEG) approaches combined with machine learning and artificial neural network modelling.
