My PhD focuses on brain structure and function in adolescent depression, investigating differences in cortical thickness, white matter, and resting-state functional connectivity between adolescent patients with depression and controls. My PhD also looks at the effects that cognitive behavioural therapy and antidepressant medication have on the brain, and on how they may differ. Additionally, I am investigating whether having a family history of depression influences brain structure and function in patients with depression.
