Interests

My research is focused on the neural basis of multisensory integration and how this process is performed at a synaptic level in the Drosophila Larva. In particular, I'm interested in an area responsible for insect navigation, known as the central complex, where sensses are integrated to create an internal map of the world and help this animal make navigational decisions. In paralel, I'm interested in creating computational models that simulate the activity of this area.
