    Interests

I am researching the ways in which olfactory bulb neurons plastically change their form (morphology) and function (synaptic and firing properties) in order to adapt to changes in the environment. Specifically, do different type of neurons change in different manners? And is this dependent on the type and duration of environmental changes? I use the murine olfactory bulb as a model system and patch clamp electrophysiology as my main technique.
