I am using forward reprogramming methods to generate oligodendrocytes and other glial cells from human pluripotent stem cells. The main goal of my research is to establish a model system which will allow to study myelination both in normal and in artificially aged states. Thus, to identify novel approaches for the treatment of devastating neurodegenerative disease.
