Interests

I am interested in the mechanisms underlying depression and its treatments. Currently, I am researching the relationship between the immune system and depression, with a focus on understanding how low-grade systemic inflammation can lead to depressive behaviours. During my PhD I applied my previous network analysis experiences to investigate the effects of electroconvulsive therapy and physical exercise on functional brain connectivity in depression. I am keen to apply these experiences and to understand networks and relationships on a broader level.
