Dr Emanuele F Osimo![]() University positionAcademic Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry DepartmentsResearch ThemeInterestsEmanuele is an Academic Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Cambridge. In Cambridge he currently works with Dr Golam Khandaker and Prof Peter Jones, focussing on the links between immune marker changes and serious mental illness in large epidemiological datasets. He completed his medical training and an MSc in the genetics of schizophrenia in Milan (Italy); he completed a 12-month fellowship in biology at the Italian National Institute of Health in Rome; he also completed a 12-month MRC research fellowship in psychiatric neuroscience at Imperial College London with Prof Oliver Howes, looking at cardiometabolic changes in schizophrenia, including cardiac structure and function. He is interested in physical co-morbidity in severe mental illness; immunopsychiatry through electronic health records analysis and through meta-analysis; epidemiology of severe mental illness.
