Effective timely monitoring of cerebral metabolism along with other metrics following a traumatic brain injury (TBI) is required to predict onset of secondary brain damage. To fulfil this, my goal is to integrate microdialysis with spectrometric sensors for continuous online detection of relevant cerebral metabolites. Thus, providing accurate and actionable information that may help inform clinical decision making and aid in prognostication of patient outcome
