Implantable neural interfaces offer the potential to gather large amounts of electrophysiological neural recordings. Neuronal firing drives body activity, however, for these recordings to be of use in research, or for the delivery of therapies, they must be extensively filtered, processed, and correlated with body activity.
My current project involves the development of a MATLAB toolbox for the processing of electrophysiological recordings gathered from implantable neural interfaces.
The toolbox builds upon existing filtering and processing software tools used in the field of electrophysiology, and adapts these for use with the implantable technologies developed in the Malliaras Bioelectronics lab.
