Interests

I am a medical doctor with aspirations to work in psychiatric neuroscience and clinical neuropsychiatry. I am particularly interested in the relationships between psychosocial stress, inflammation in the body and brain, and depression.

My current research focuses on the impact of early life stress on the immune system, the brain, and behaviour. In this work I use rodent, wet lab, and neuroimaging techniques, including high-resolution structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging, behavioural testing, and a range of ex vivo assays using blood, brain, and meningeal tissue.
