Internal call - Isaac Newton Trust Early Career Support Scheme for University Lecturers
Pre-announcement: Isaac Newton Trust Early Career Support Scheme for University Lecturers
As our funding from the Isaac Newton Trust for the Early Career Support Scheme for University Lecturers has been renewed, we would like to alert you to an internal call that we will be advertising within the next couple of weeks.
In summary, this research grants scheme aims to provide research support to the recently appointed University Lecturers in the Schools of Physical Sciences and Technology. The grants should enable recently appointed lecturers to kick start their research career and work on projects which can then attract further external funding. The funds can be used as flexibly as possible in giving applicants money for their research as best suits their needs.
· Budget available: up to £50,000, for a period of up to 1 year. Departmental contribution required: 50% of the award (up to £25,000). The funds have to come from departmental funds, and not another grant.
· Eligible expenditure: directly incurred and allocated costs only. The grants can be used to fund PDRA support, equipment, travel and ancillary consumables. PI Time and student fees are not eligible costs on this grant.
Further details on this call will follow in due course.
