Science Café with Professor Roger Barker
Sunday 29 October, 3pm
White Swan, Stow cum Quy, Cambridgeshire
Join for the third of our Regenerator on Tour series as Professor Roger Barker discusses his pioneering stem cell research in this relaxed and friendly afternoon pub session. Roger will explain how new stem cell therapies are being developed to restore neurological function in conditions such as Parkinson's andHuntington's disease. He's keen to hear from you; so for the bulk of the session he will be answering your questions to find out what you really want to know about these new medical advances.
Stick around afterwards to enjoy a Sunday afternoon pub quiz and perhaps another pint of our stew cell brew, Regenerator. We'll be challenging you to answer a set of stem-cell themed questions, with a special box set of beer as a bonus prize!
It’s part of our Regenerator on tour series themed around our stem cell beer. Our main target group is the usual locals who go to this pub on a Sunday afternoon, but a few bonus customers and interested public wouldn’t go amiss!
