My research concentrates on positron emission tomography (PET) methodology, with particular emphasis on the quantitative accuracy of the physiological parameters derived from the data. Current research themes are: parametric mapping using basis functions spatio-temporal image reconstruction for kinetic analysis direct parameter estimation wavelet-based kinetic analysis 4D motion compensated image reconstruction MRI-based motion correction for PET/MRI scanners image optimisation using automated observers automated region-of-interest definition attenuation correction for PET/MRI scanners.
