    Interests

    1. Multicenter clinical studies: In the USA I am a co-investigator and Executive Committee member for the recently funded NIH ?Multiple Medical Therapies for Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury ? A Comparative Effectiveness Approach? that will recruit 1000 patients from 30 centers in North America and Europe (UO1). I am also a co-investigator and member in the American Epilepsy Society funded Pediatric Status Epilepticus Research Group (pSERG), a consortium examining refractory status epilepticus in children. 2. Computational physiology in collaboration with MIT: Computational Physiology and the problem of raised intracranial pressure (NIH R21), brain perfusion and vascular resistance; Magnetic resonance imaging measures of brain water content and functional imaging of brain networks and language processing in the critically ill; and Near-Infra-Red spectroscopy measures of functional brain networks in the critically ill.
