Interests

I have carried out research projects on cognitive impairment in the context of progressive-degenerative dementias and affective symptomatology.

My current research focuses on the neurobiology of emotional dysregulation and self-harm in the affective disorders in a broad sense, including borderline personality disorder. I am interested in identifying cognitive and psychophysiological markers of pathological mood states with a view to developing novel treatments for these conditons. Our methodology includes functional brain imaging, neuropsychological tests, and physiological measurement.
