Interests

I envision to use recent developments in the field of supramolecular chemistry to develop a new method to characterize amyloid aggregates (being the main toxic species in Alzheimer’s disease). As a synthetic chemist I have the tools to design and prepare a ‘molecular fish hook’, a molecule capable of capturing a specific number of amyloid units. These captured amyloid aggregates can then be subject to standard analytical investigations.
