I work on the Virtual Fly Brain project (www.virtualflybrain.org). We integrate information from the literature, including anatomy and expression, with image data from various sources which we register to a common brain template, allowing comparisons to be made using our stack viewer. Users to our site can easily find information about a region of the fly brain, or search for reagents, phenotypes, similar neuron images or potential synaptic partners. Information about anatomy is retrieved from the Drosophila anatomy ontology, which we develop collaboratively with FlyBase.

Single neuron images in the adult fly brain were registered to a common template. Uniglomerular olfactory projection neurons clustered by a similarity search.
