Dr Murali Bollepalli


I am interested in understanding the phototransduction mechanism in Drosophila melanogaster. The phototransduction pathways are mediated by light-sensitive ion channels such as TRP channels. I study the activation pathway of the TRP channels in photoreceptors and how this contributes to fly vision.
