I'm a PhD Student on the Wellcome Trust Programme in Metabolic Disease, based in the Yeo Group at the Institute of Metabolic Science. Our group investigates the neural control of energy homeostasis, with focus on the genetic influences mediating hypothalamic food intake pathways. My current work focuses on the role of the non-coding RNA cluster SNORD116 in Prader-Willi Syndrome. I am investigating the molecular mechanisms linking the loss of SNORD116 transcripts to the hyperphagia and obesity evident in Prader-Willi patients.
