Interests

In developing novel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods of acquisition and analysis to elucidate the mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration in very early dementia.

White matter tract abnormalities in semantic dementia patients projected onto a skeletonised mean control tractography highlights (i) the involvement of the arcuate and uncinate bundles, and (ii) the sparing of tracts running caudally from the temporal lobe through the ILF. [AF = Arcuate fasciculus; UF = Uncinate fasciculus; ILF = Inferior longitudinal fasciculus].
