Interests

My research interest focuses on the regulation of sleep-wake architecture and brain oscillation in different behavioural states. I joined Professor Jenny Morton's research group in 2015 to study the alterations of sleep-wake pattern and EEG spectra in Huntington's Disease (HD). We conduct electroencephalographic (EEG) studies on R6/2 mice, a transgenic model of HD with a progressive neurological phenotype, to see how pharmacological interventions can modify the disrupted sleep-wake pattern as well as the pathological brain oscillations in HD. We also interested in how improvement of sleep-wake architecture can influence other symptoms of HD, such as motor or cognitive function.
