The field of Developmental Origins of Health and Disease has shown that in utero environment can have long lasting consequences for offsrping health. More recent work has shown that maternal obesity can cause changes to the neurodevelopment of offspring. My research is looking into how maternal obesity influences offspring brain development and behaviour using techniques including immunohistochemistry to analyses adut offspring brain tissue.
